Water countries search for answers and the persons behind the assault on the temple have yielded nothing, & the ANBU squads which were dispatched to retrieve information on the Yuan Ti, have learned nothing on the whereabous of their location. However, 3 days ago another assault on the Hidden Mist Village has brought about new developments.

Officials now believe that former citizen, Lapeer Rhodes who was arrested and detained in the hidden mist's containment cell was in fact a spy sent in by the enemy. Upon his release, he was ordered to serve time doing community service and placed on restriction from leaving the village.

However, while attempting to leave the village gates, a mysterious huge black eagle attacked the guards standing watch. There were at least three other assailants who aided Lapeer in his escape from the Hidden Mist Village. During the attack, several water shinobi were dispatched to confront this threat and neutralize it. They were able to fight off the outsiders but not before they fled with Lapeer riding high atop the black eagle.

The veteran jounin, Okaida Kohvin was one of he shinobi dispatched to deal with this threat. Though he was unable to immobilize the mysterious group, he managed to put his mark on the black eagle using a whip made of water to attach to its legs and a small capsule containing an adhesive gel made by him solely for tracking purposes. The gel gives off a strong odor detectable only by certain animals. He used this to track the assailants back to their base of operations.

He now returns as the Mizukage, Orai makes preparations to retaliate against the enemy.

3 Days ago, during a funeral that was being held for the late hidden mist shinobi Eta, the Temple of Tyr in Mistledale was blown up. Survivors who witnessed the attack stated that the perpertraitor walked into the temple and stopped about midway down the main aisle. After muttering a few words, he turned to an individual sitting near the exit dressed in a hooded cloak before raising two fingers, blowing himself and the entire central area of the building away. The high priest, Nerval Watchwill was on hand, and able to raise a partial barrier to void some of the damage from the blast. His efforts saved the lives of more than a dozen attendees.

However, the attack killed a total of 45 mistrans who were out of range, and has caused a panic amongst the people of Mistledale. Two hunter-nin teams were dispatched to track those responsible for this heinous crime. It was team two that successfully tracked the perpertraitor and confronted him. Hidden mist genin Kunar was dispatched under special circumstances due to the shortage of available shinobi because of the heightened security from the attack along with jonin Okaida Kovhin, who tracked the assailant to an underground tunnel and engaged him in battle. Upon their victory, they prepared to escort the criminal back to the city when they were ambushed by three members of the Yuan-ti clan.

It is believed that the assailant and the Yuan-ti have a relationship considering they successfully captured the criminal and escaped with him. They made no elaborate attempt to kill the shinobi involved and seemed only interested in the capture of the criminal.

The high councilor and the Council of Six have put a bounty up for anyone who can capture the assailent involved or bring to justice those responsible for the attack. The current bounty is set for 15,000 gold. Nerval Watchwill has sworn to hunt down the individuals involved and to exact punishment..
