The PCs have acquired flying mounts, and limited use jet-packs when they witness the sky visibly darken. No it is not the onset of another eclipse but a spore storm. And in the midst of the storm is an out of control Keculan dirigible listing at high speed toward the jagged cliffs before a petrified forest.

From the airship the PCs can hear (Passive Perception 15+) the sounds of intermittent musket fire, and see smoke trailing from the ships starboard helm tower.
