The adventures in the World Beyond are about to begin! This time around, the cast of characters features:
- Ismail ibn Yusef
- Ibrahim
- Gebel the One-Eared Goblin
- A reptile-person whose name nobody can pronounce
This party of Muslims finds itself on Lendore Isle in the middle of Keyhole Bay. With Gebel’s incidental help, Ismail and Ibrahim recently escaped from the clutches of a secret slave smuggling ring that captures Muslims and Christians alike from unsuspecting pilgrimages and caravans and then sells them into slavery as “prisoners of war” in Megalos and al-Wazif, respectively.
During a couple months in the island’s modest port town of Garroton, Ismail and a slightly dismayed Ibrahim were reunited with their former reptilian comrade, while Gebel said farewell to his mother. Now, early in the year 1418 AH, the group has decided to travel to the nearby town of Restenford. Each member has his own reason for going, though not everyone seems to be completely forthcoming about their true intentions…
The World Beyond is an amalgamation of the fantasy worlds my brother and I created before we even knew about role-playing and the later realms in which we gamed. For our new campaign, many of the top-rated adventure modules of all time have been plotted onto the map near your characters’ starting place. If you desire, your characters will be able to explore these legendary locales with a modicum of effort.
Preparation
This campaign is open to anyone in the Bay Area who is interested. In order to play, you will need three things:
- MULRAH
- Character & Equipment Cards
- A set of polyhedral dice
The GM will provide reference sheets for Equipment, Skills, and a Spell List if you’re using Divine Magic or Alchemy (optional).
