Sunday, May 22 – The day after prom…
Alessandra wakes up with the idea to make a Jetpack!
Send a txt to the group with a program attached that will disable the sound notification.
Ellie says the first subject must be Buster.
Repulsorlift? Anti-gravity? Non-flammable propellant? Traditional propellant?
Research current technology. HammerTech. Stark. Roxxon Oil? Oscorp. Worthington Industries. Eaglestar International. Horizon Labs. Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM). Jetpack International. Tecnologia Aeroespacial Mexicana.
Hydrogen peroxide is most common propellant, but controlled substance.
Cynthia and Peter walk in arm in arm. Wow. Nice.
Cyrillo and I talk about jetpacks while the cafeteria goes a-twitter about the shiny new couple.
Kenny Dansworth graces us with his presence and helps himself to Peter’s seat. Well that’s rude. We ask him to leave and he is obnoxious and annoying.
Time for phone sufferage.
I take control of his phone and download “I’m Coming Out” as his ring tone. Then I have the phone ring several times while he freaks. Peter makes it so much cooler with his enthusiastic support of Kenny’s revealed lifestyle. Maybe that’s why he hangs out with such a handsome group of men.
Next is “It’s Raining Men” Appropriately dramatic, the phone rings with the new selection just as Kenny yells that he’s not gay. Wow. Talk about timing.
“You will pay for this!” And he storms off. I program his phone to play this fine example of music every time he is near one of his equestrian buddies. Time exceptions for school schedule. The program self destructs in a week.
Kenny’s tech buddy manages to end the program by Thursday. Gabriel Norman
The rest of the week is uneventful.
Friday, May 27.
Peter is skateboarding at the skate park.
Ellie comes up with the idea of a hoverboard.
To create it, I’d have to create a gyro, a steering system that used motion control
Icarus follows him to record his motions.
Gabriel comes to question us about the code on his friends phone. Unfortunately, this is a point where my near-total honesty sucks. He realized I was avoiding the question and insisted on a direct answer. He’s going to the headmaster and tell him what he found. Unfortunately for him, the code is gone so he has no real proof.
I talk to dad anyway and let him know about my prank. The code eradicated itself (Green feat), so hopefully there is no evidence. He did not get a call from the headmaster, so hopefully that means nothing will happen.
Saturday, May 28 – The Lacrosse Battle Royale
Icarus and I rigged the field with cameras.
It’s streaming live on my website. Minerva is directing Icarus controlling the cameras.
The game is exciting and awesome. Back and forth until Kimyee manages to hold off Jack and his team.
Jack hands over the badge and makes a speech. She’s the first female captain of the men’s lacrosse team. He even offers to let her be in charge of the team for next week’s championship, but she says no thanks.
Cynthia freaks Kimyee out with a hug and congratulations. She’s not going to be on the team next year to concentrate on acting. She wants to direct.
Maybe I should make an FX package for the theatre department.
Pool party at our house. Woo hoo! Dad is even cool with my half bikini.
Sunday is uneventful and filled with whiteboards full of anti-gravity theories.
I email Reed Richards and ask him for tips and to check my math.
Monday, May 30
Kimyee and Ellie get stalked by the Four Horsemen on their way to breakfast.
We discuss the trip to Europe. And football. And the trouble Peter is going to get into while he’s roaming around.
The rest of the week passed uneventfully. Aside from the stalking.
Friday, June 3
We are summoned to the headmaster’s office.
Conference room:
Headmaster, Kenny, Gabriel, suit, us
Facial recognition on the suit. Detective Guilano Febus, PBI cybercrimes division
They confiscate our phones. I inform them that mine will self-destruct if they try and take it apart, so they need to contact someone to stop it. Tony Stark? Dad assured them that I am not delusional.
We are not charged, but are under investigation
They are investigating a possible felony action against Kenny’s phone.
Wow. Talk about blowing things out of proportion.
Alessandra goes home with her Dad while the rest of the group goes out for ice cream.
I am worried about Elli not making it to Nationals. I’ll turn myself in first.
I have Minerva help me find out everything I can about Kenny and the Four Horsemen.
PBI’s funding is up for review and Kenny’s father is in charge of the budget. Most of the information was legal, but the list of the PBIs caseload was not. Resend to Elyssa.
Dad says “Be sure you think about what I would do.”
Saturday, June 4 – State Lacrosse Championship
Adrian and I go out and place the cameras. And the Tesla coils. Thunderstruck by AC/DC
Elli gets hopped up on caffeine and goes the way of a spider monkey on crack. Kimyee talks to Georgia about taking Elli since she’s not safe for the road. Cyrillo is going with Rachel.
Kimyee gets hailed as the captain when she arrives at the bus. Awesome. She even gets an arch of lacrosse sticks.
The Thunderbolts vs Punxsutawney Groundhogs
First quarter – Groundhogs in the lead
Second quarter – Thunderbolts rally and gain the lead
Third quarter – no score
Four quarter – four points
The Groundhogs get stomped, 7 to 2. Ouch.
I give them one of the FX packages programmed for their team.
My parents throw a party at the Sheraton Philadelphia
We spend Sunday recovering.
Monday, June 6
Things settle down for the week until Wednesday.
June 8
We are summoned to the headmaster’s office.
Gabriel’s father – the State Senator is there in addition to the other ppl.
He looks slimy and conniving.
The detective apologizes for the inconvenience.
Gabriel apologizes for his part in bringing this investigation to us.
His dad does not look happy.
Apparently the detective’s daughter is a fan and will be watching.
Gabriel looks unhappy because his father is not happy for being embarrassed.
Kenny looks like he’s trying to figure out something else to do in revenge. Vengeance will be mine!
We discuss Kenny’s intentions for revenge, and get distracted by the semantics of crime and punishment.
TBC…
