We discuss the events of the day and the upcoming weekend events. Elli is a bit freaked.

We gate to New York in front of The Peninsula in the Peninsula Suite

Ethan shows up as a busboy bringing room service. Elli freaks, but decides to stay responsible and remain in the room. The rest of us go out on the town. Ethan stays with Elli.

We go out to The Village Underground for dancing. Cats Deli afterward. Then we get in late.

Saturday arrives.

Elli is bouncing of the walls like a Chihuahua on speed. We work on keeping her calm, which is somewhat successful, right up until the time for the competition.

I let Icarus go to assume a bird’s eye view for recording purposes. We sit down with our paste and cardboard with glitter or LED.

We go shopping and exploring along with the US Olympics team.
We get home very late.

Monday, June 13
I join them for breakfast at the school.
Kenny is sitting at our table.
Peter ignores him and sits down anyway. He discusses the habits of horses in regards to Kenny and his lackeys.

“Are you trying to piss us off?”
“I think I’m succeeding.”

The idiots take on Peter in the morning and the sleezeball asks me out on a date. Cyrillo and I chat about the jetpack and Mr. Tech-horse offers to help me. Puleeze.

Elli and I have a lot more people than we expected asking for us to sign the yearbook.
Kenny asks me to sign his book, which I do, but he has a problem with the lack of a dedication. I inform him that since I’d mention his trying to get me arrested for a felony, I was not interested. He thinks bygones should be bygones and that it should be left in the past. Yeah, no. The little bastard was being mean and petty because his poor little ego was offended.

Tuesday rolls around. I give her a designer watch I made with the Olympic rings.
Classes are fun with geek games in our classes. Hangman with Shakespearian quotes and Elemental bingo.

June 15, Wednesday
Georgia got a letter. She’s been invited to Xavier’s school for the gifted. Woo hoo!

We decide to go shopping so Cynthia can get jeans. To her surprise, we recommend the mall. Go to Park Centre Mall in Lancaster. Rachel and Cyrillo come with us.

Thursday passes uneventfully.

Friday, June 17

The girls are accosted by the Four Horsemen on their way to breakfast.
It’s a ‘strong request’ for them to allow themselves to be escorted to breakfast. Strange and unfortunate things can happen to unescorted females.
Kimyee “Excuse me? What are you trying to say?” “Bring it.”
Techy guy tries to grab Kimyee’s arm.
Kenny gives them the entire ‘you must do as I say because may father blah, blah, blah…’

Peter and Cyrillo arrive. Cynthia goes off to get a member of the staff.
Georgia punches Kenny in response to his threats and insults.
Professor Reynolds shows up in response to the situation. Cynthia got him because she knows he is not bribable. (apparently, she’s tried)
Kenny threatens the Professor, who schools him on the reality of the ‘my daddy’ vs. ‘please, please, please teach at our school’ arguments.

He skulks away with his herd to the nurse.

We go to breakfast. Éclairs are on the menu.

Edith has a tablet that will stream and Tivo her shows with every cookbook I could find loaded into the memory.

Lunch goes uneventfully.

During physics, we are talking more about explaining a disturbance in the force using math.
I get an idea that will help the gravitic generator.

The power goes out and five costumed guys are outside.
One guy was from the diner and the other four were from the bunker.

“You’ll have to get through me first.” Mezmera
“I thought you didn’t like x-factor.”
“They’ve grown on me.” Yeah, like a slime-mold.

MORTAL COMBAT!!!

Matriarch tries to enter Helix’s mind and it goes all sorts of wrong. He projects back an illusion of her as an old and decrepit hag. She is disabled for 3 rounds as she freaks.
Thermal Disruption is having her mind controlled.
Equinox shines a spotlight of the sun down on them. Matriarch is now blinded for an for 6 rounds. He then shoots the boss. 40 pts of laser damage. Kill result.
Yosono chucks an ice ball (46) at the boss.
Radz continues his quest to dominate Yosono with a blast of radiation.
Gravitronix tries to use the force to pick us up. It fails with a slight feeling of vertigo. He tries again. He reverses gravity around us. Agility FEAT to stay on our feet. I wobble, but the others are fine. Synergy lands like a boss.
Mezmera concentrates. Thermal Disruption comes out of it.
I open up a gateway under Matriarch and Gravitronix. 30’ drop.
Helix creates and throws a crystal at the bossman. He’s not looking too good.
Thermal Disruption changes into her energy body, ice, and encloses Radz in an ice casket.

Disfrazar (Red intuition FEAT) is healing.
Matriarch stops screaming, but is still too freaked to talk and tell us what to do.
Equinox carrier waves over to the bossman. With his fist. Surprise! BOOM! 20 pts. He gets knocked back a bit. Nice.
Yosono encloses Gravitronix in a column of ice.
Radz tries to melt the casket, but fails miserably.
Gravitronix tries to escape his icy fate. Success. The ice disintegrates. He throws a missile at Yosono.
Mezmera entices Gravitronix to join her. “Hey Shiny, we have cookies.” He gets giddy and skips happily toward his new friend.
I open a gateway to Stronghold and ask Mezmera to tell him that’s where the cookies are. He goes through. Then I taze Matriarch. She shakes it off.
Helix beans Matriarch in the head with a piece of crystal.
TD sets Matriarch on fire. Maleficent en flambé.

Disfrazar heals again.
Matriarch is a bit distracted by being on fire.
Equinox beats the bossman like a red-headed step child. Red FEAT. 26 pts of damage as he dodges into the punch. He sucks up the stun and continues on. Then he gets kicked. 26 pts and gets slammed backwards.
Yosono encases Matriarch in ice to put out the fire.
Mezmera tries to get them to give up. The bossman surrenders.

Mom’s gateway appears and she steps out. I send Matriarch to Stronghold.
Stronghold shows up for cleanup.
