  • The team heads doen into the Malachite Fortress to rescue or locate some missing children.
  • Upon arriving Hyu falls victum to an attack from an animated Mithril Chain. The chain is destroyed by acid quickly.
  • Strange Dwarven halls lead deeper into the dark.
  • A strong battel with Bugbear captains, and a small group of Drow ensues.
  • A gnome by the name of Whistler introduces himself, but as a halfling first using a clever disguise.
  • Hyu triggers a pit trap, and Whistler bypasses a few more.
  • The group enters the main hold where a half Troll/Dwarf is keeping the children captive.
  • The team also upset an exchange for the children and attack!
  • One of the foes is forced to dance for a very fortunate length of time, while the Troll/Dwarf is enraged!
  • The battle is won after the party slays a manticore as well as the other enemies.
  • Lord Vhalantru shows up to take a small boy named Terimm. The group allows it after Hyu has a strange vision.
  • The group returns to the city to find the children safe.
  • Damien Falco returns to the temple for a reward and an update from the Lord Mayor.
  • Team stays in town for a day and shops at Skie’s Treasury for items.
  • Gnarl gets a portable hole!

Guys! What a great session! The entire city of Cauldron is becoming your city! I know that in some of my past campaigns we continue to hammer away quest after quest, which gets the characters to higher levels faster but develops less of the campaign world. What a great session, to bad we left it in a battle! More session highlights to come after we complete # 7!

Versvesh finds the Saphire Spell Gem!!

After a brief stint through the Lost Refuge, the group made their way through a strange type of portal. Upon reaching the other side, they realize they were in a town!? The group immediatley brought Hyu to the large temple on the outskirts of the town. A High Priest of the temple brought Hyu back to life. Hyu’s acts thus far granted him the returned lifeblood as a Saint.

The act of his return cost the group a quest from the high Priest. She asigned them the task of finding some missing children from the local shelter. The children had been missing for a few days and had been taken during the night. Jenna (High Priest) also added to the group her most valiant priest. He was tasked on seeing the group through their tasks and directly reporting success and failure to Jenna.

The investigation continued leading the party beneath a local locksmith shop, into a Gnomish enclave called JAZHADRUNE. it seemed a dark and empty place, as each room had been cleared of contents. The group came to an elevator (after recovering a umber of lettered keys) that led down into the darkness… what do we do with the locksmith’s familiar?

Aegus connected with a local chapter/guild able to allow him research on the groups new location. He soon discovered that they were all many years into the future!! After doing a “good” deed, he recovered his weapon from a traditional Gnarl prank and gained some followers from the local orphanage. He even had his name inscribed upon a plank as their savior!

  • After clearing most of the temple, the party gets to a lower level beneath a solid Morguh bone staricase.
  • The party faces a group of Boneclaws and Aegus gains control of one with his talisman.
  • In the search for evil, Argon and the group find a bridge leading to a strange door.
  • The door eventually opens into two snake filled chambers.
  • Using alchemist fire, Gnarl distracts the snakes long enough to construct another of his many helpful tools to open the lid on two identical statues.
  • They venture into the heart of the temple and find a strange Gate between two pillars.
  • A floating curtain of shadow is moving between the pillars.
  • An Altar lies burried beneath hundreds of skleltons.
  • As Hyu clears away the bones he finds a hidden section in the Altar.
  • Gnarl opens the lock and Aegus opens the compartment, revealing a set of painful looking gauntlets.
  • As the party strikes the Altar and attempts to move it, the curtain of shadow moves.
  • The group of heroes isn’t alone long as more creatures appear from the gate.
  • Making short work of the monsters, the party sends Gerrard for Ironguard to retreive backup.
  • Gerrard’s Uncle and his men return to the Temple and agree to watch over the Gate until it can be closed.
  • The team then moves onward to Arabel to identify treasure they uncovered and sell items the don’t use.
  • Finding that Argon has completed his quest, the Gold Knight of Draconis makes Argon a Knight and informs him of his sword and some of his past.
  • Argon accepts the honor and follows the ceremony with a honor of his own. He places himself in the eyes of Bahamut, God of good Dragonkind and is granted rebirth as a Dragonblood.
  • The party bears witness to his transformation and finds their old friend now as Vervesh.
  • Moving away from Ironguard, Argon (now Vervesh) heads to halls beneath Ironguard and discovers some history of his ancient blade.
  • The Knights send the group out again, this time to the Lost Refuge in the Vast Swamp.

  • As the group wanders through Suzail to buy goods and equipment, Gnarl decides to play a little prank on Aegus.
  • He and a nearby merchant “sell” Aegus his Scythe but force him to make a promise…
  • Aegus hunted down Rhaine inside the Royal House, using a clever disguise…
  • Using a strange power, Aegus drains the life of a man waiting to see a popular gem merchant.
  • The guards follow Aegus through a crowded street, but lose him in the lines of people.
  • An urgent message comes from Ironguard to Argon, seeking his audience immediatley.
  • Argon gets the party to go with him to see the Knights of Draconis.
  • The party is introduced to the majority of the Knights, as Argon is given a quest.
  • Party sets out to investigate a mysterious temple built near Ironguard.

  • Group was warned by Selim that more was beneath the tomb than skeletons.
  • Party ventures inside, despite warnings. Deciding to stop the “evil” once and for all.
  • They battle a strange shadow hound before even passing the first door.
  • Argon Highwind hears a strange voice calling his name, leading him into the dark halls.
  • Aegus Fythol’s skeleton minions help to disarm a few traps…
  • Gnarl’s search reveals a secret door in the hallway, Argon Highwind opens it with strength.
  • Inside, a quiet pool seems to invite all who gaze into it.
  • A sword is laying on the pool bottom, Gnarl fishes it out with a grapling hook.
  • Noises are heard beyond a door at the end of the hall, the party gets ready.
  • The door leads to a stairway leading deeper down into gloom.
  • Argon Highwind and the rest slowly decend deeper into the tomb, only to find horror at the bottom.
  • A village aflame!? Argon Highwind’s home town being destroyed again before his eyes.
  • Hyu acts quickly to aid the screams and cries from the buildings.
  • The fire, smoke, & cries of help all coming from the Scythe Aegus Fythol found in the forest!
  • The illusion ends, revealing only empty cells and dead bodies.
  • Argon Highwind hears his name… “Argon...do you remember this Glorious Day!?”
  • A man, or Half Black Dragon stands at the end of the room, calling to Argon Highwind.
  • He releases his Shadow Mastiff pets and returns “his” scythe to his hands.
  • The group fights hard and triumphs, the Half Dragon turns to ice and snow…?
  • Argon Highwind needs a long rest and healing after a battle that nearly killed them all.
  • Gnarl finds a bit of treasure, (including the Scythe) hidden in an upper chamber.
  • Party escaped the King’s Forest and ventures south to the gates of Suzail.

  • Innkeeper calls out to adventureres! Rhaine Naraskedel & Aegus Fythol answer call after Hyu & Gnarl.
  • Dungeon under Inn. (Murky Brdge) more than a simple “rat problem”.
  • Knight of Draconis (Argon Highwind) survives a week beneath the Inn.
  • A tunnel to a chasm beneath the Inn leads to a mysterious Tomb…
  • Trapped tomb contains 4 caskets, (Marlena, Valrek the Bold, Jesseph Gallrund & Yanos.
  • Party finds mass of items in the old tomb. Boots, Ring x 2, Potions, etc.
  • Group fights off Bugbears, Orcs, Giant Spiders & Survives Traps.
  • Rhaine Naraskedel & Aegus Fythol Unlock Marlena’s casket, after a fire trap explodes…
  • Party uncovers 4 levels of a tower built into the earth, each dedicated to 1 of 4 figures.
  • 2nd to last chamber left untouched, 4 warriors animated and door closed.
  • A Portal opens in the final chamber and a man steps forth asking for an urn or an “orb”?
  • Gnarl the gnome ventures into the portal after the man vanishes, steals bracelets.
  • Party leaves and returns to Inn and collects a bounty based upon Argon Highwind’s word.
  • Party returns to the dungeon, fights off 2 more Bugbears and finds 2 Bags, & a Scepter!
  • Indentifies items, ventures towards the Kings Forest.
  • Hyu is able to trade w/ Barbarians for 200 gp, Argon Highwind also trades for an Owlbear pelt!
  • Forest holds Isek wounded in trail.
  • Hyu stabilizes Isek and party follows him to a strange grave site.
  • A strange grove emits dark energy from a Scythe stuck into a tree stump…
  • Isek’s party is found fending off a large group of skeletons!
  • A burst of strange energy comes from Aegus Fythol, 6 of skeletons fall under his control.
  • Using great teamwork the party dispatches the remaining 3 skeletons.
