Quaor, one of the former nation-states in the Realm of Zane, was probably the most continually tumultuous of the five. Lacking a formal ruling body, the nation accepted rule by whomever could assert sufficient influence to do so. Thus the nation’s history includes warlords, priests, and merchants of all kinds in its continuum (or rather the lack thereof) of leadership. The region is very mountainous with some desert in the southern regions, requiring its denizens to be hardy and resourceful. It is a perfect location for monasteries, criminal bases and any other hidden places. Coniferous forest runs along the mountain line down towards Sedna and Haumea. It is also the only nation where primal spirits seem to appear and speak with any regularity.
