The Nemedian Chronicles
What is best in life? Conan knows the answer. Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of the women.
These words sum up the grim world that we all know from the films. But…there’s more to the story!
The Nemedian Chronicles are a collection of scrolls, tablets, and art penned by Nemedian scholars during the height of the Hyborian Age. The most notable of the works detail the story of King Conan, the barbarian from Cimmeria who took the crown of Aquilonia in the shining west. But there are many more chapters to be found which detail the quests and conquests of other heroes and villains, wars and intrigue, the clanging of swords and the use of sorcery most foul. The chapters found on Obsidian Portal detail the exploits of Cuana, soldier-of-fortune from the dark hills of Cimmeria, Dhak, the Stygian man of sword and sorcery, Tullweim, barbarian from the northern wastes of Asgard, and Xacksmith, archer and thief from the hordes of Hyrkania.
GMed by Flatscan, the Nemedian Chronicles has been an active campaign for 2 years. Inspired by the works of Robert E. Howard, the game world is grim and gritty swords and sorcery. A world where a low-level thief can bring down a mighty warrior with one well-placed thrust of a blade, where a sorcerer can literally rip the heart from a victim’s ribcage, and where monsters are cosmic horrors that can make the most stoic of warriors tremble in his sandals.
The well-organized campaign site uses a wealth of imagery, inspired by the Conan comics and novels, in the Adventure Logs and throughout the wiki. The Nemedian Chronicles brings the excitement found in Robert E. Howard’s Conan stories to game play in a compelling, entertaining campaign.
