No desire to die, she made a pact after the death of her daughter to the plague. Speaking in to the darkness something within spoke back. Under its guidance she learned how to keep her youth and beauty by extracting the blood of virgins and bathing in it. When discovered, she was taken to the Cathedral and sealed away under the care of the Red Bishop. But all that blood tainted her and blighted the halls of the cathedral and led the Bishop to the temptation of power. In trying to save her he dammed himself and became a master of the blighted, the accursed and the decayed.
