For thirteen years the Circle of Eight stood watch over the Flanaess, striking a seeming balance between the forces of good and evil as their supposed wisdom saw fit. This “balance” that the nearly all powerful Circle created was merely a vacillation that would lead to the death of countless thousands through out the Flanaess. Their dedication to keeping a twisted view of balance and peace lead to many conflicts throughout the lands; the w which culminated with the bloody Greyhawk Wars.
