Amber Silk grew up on the streets of Nexus as an orphan, born to nothing. It took some careful skills and a gang of close-knit children to keep her from becoming a slave, but the child had determined from as soon as she could think towards the future that she would not live a life like that. This isn’t to say that Amber Silk avoided all of the roughness that the streets of Nexus had to offer – quite the opposite. The young woman starved and dumpster-dove, pick-pocketed, and even worked in a brothel for a few years before cleaning herself up and managing to land a position in as a low-level Assayer for the city.

Since that giddy, joyful day, Amber has never looked back. She accepts her past, but looks towards the present and the future, maintaining a rigorous control of her life, lest it fall apart around her.
