Bio

Tarsis was born of a Sylvan Elf village in the vast forests. His village had long been under the reign of a malevolent Green Dragon named Griklag. Griklag had forced Tarsis’ people to serve his own evil interests: scouting the wilds for lost treasures, pillaging travelling caravans of merchants, and general enslavement. To amuse himself, Griklag often took the form of a young Elf-maid’s mate, bedding her in the most coarse and vile manners, but never revealing his true form to them. Consequently the people of Tarsis’ family and community have many generations of outcasts and nearly all of them have brothers or sisters with Dragon Blood that has gone undetected. A natural consequence for these unfortunates is a quick temper, a tendency towards un-warranted belligerence, and a bent towards violence. Tarsis is one such unfortunate. The amount of Draconic heritage in his lineage is unknown, even to himself. Although Elves (even the wild Sylvan Elves) usually are a jovial and good-natured race, the “Curse” -as it’s come to be known by Tarsis and his people- makes Tarsis’ every breath an internal war. His innate Goodness is constantly combating his Patron’s frightful malevolence. Because of this, Tarsis finds it far easier to reside in the wilderness and wander the world. He only mingles with other Sentients when need or service demand it. He is a stalwart friend and loyal to a fault. His unusual combination of personality makes him humorous but in a sarcastic meme, sometimes unintentionally insulting. But his warring nature makes his outlook on life very fluid. He HATES Gnolls, as the Green Dragon used them to ultimately destroy his people. He eschews gold, as a rule—a means to internally separate him from his evil patronage—and only carries as much as he needs to maintain his gear, or pay for basic comforts on the rare occasion he makes a foray into a town or city.
