Ancient Irthos

Upon the ruins of Entioc, the wilderness is being tamed. The noble houses of Terruizeng has ventured through choking forests and ancient paths to this lost city where the gods once ruled from their towering megaliths.

Mounds of moss covered rubble jut out of murky waters like concrete islands in the flooded northern edge of the city. The rain is relentless and the heat unforgiving. Fog shrouds the city. What once was parks, gardens, and terraced fields have become dark foreboding forests. It has entangled and ensnared much of the city’s weathered temples and complex structures.

Stone walls segregate the lower levels of the city blocks, it’s wide crenellated tops supporting ancient bridges and walkways that span vast distances across the drowning city. At major intersections are grand temples, plazas, and castles several stories high which form the ruins upper levels. When viewed from above appear almost like a spider’s web spun from earth and metal.

Our tabletop gaming sessions as a rule always begins at one of three gates of the central settlement of Gartanu, and ends with our adventuring party back within the walls of civilization. This allows the players to not only form their own groups for each expedition into the wilderness, but also to explore the central settlement and interact with it’s inhabitants and each other in between game sessions.
