Of the McGurds, Duckett seems to be the least malevolant and may, in fact, be a decent character. Moreover, as he is the third eldest of the McGurd family, he may be the “third” referred to in the riddle presented by Alhazrad the Mad (Follow the Fowl, Follow the third, Fear the Fox).
