Bio

Somewhere around 30 years ago I was born in … well, I doen’t know for sure but it was probably in Ireland. Or perhaps Scotland. My Father has celebrated my birthday in no fewer than five different months, so I just had to make something up for the passport I’m carrying.

My Dad was travelling salesman with dreams of grandeur. Not too honest to take advantage of an opportunity. He was always teaching, Mom was trying to protect, often from Dad. Dad drank a lot, He was Irish after all. He wasn’t usually an abusive drunk, but he did a LOT of stupid things when imbibing. Even when he was drunk, and perhaps less tolerant of screaming kids, he always treated his mom with some respect. Father disappeared years ago after robbing the wrong folks. Probably dead.

Trip has a younger sister, and an unknown number of half-siblings or “adopted” family. Haven’t seen sister since she was old enough to have a real job. She had a great voice though. Others are scattered and in the family business. Dad separated from Mom before I was a teenager, but for some reason I ended up with Dad. Mom re-maried, probably to have a more stable environment for the younger sister. I still don’t know exactly why they broke up.

Even once my Dad disappeared I keep on the move, more out of habit than to look for work. Frequently run into other “family", even when travelling away from my normal stomping grounds.

Whatever I was doing before the cruise didn’t go so well, but someone owed me a lot of money. However they also worked for the cruise line so I pretty much forgave them that debt and they bought me a ticket on this cruise. Most days I can be found gambling and drinking, whereever that may be done on a ship.
