The Rude Brood’s motley collection of personalities seems like an unlikely group but their roots reach back to mortal life. Damon and Anastasia went to high school together, they were best friends and partners-in-crime through a myriad of youthful indiscretions. Ana’s step-brother Jacob provided Damon with steady income during his early college years’ stimulant addiction. The three of them met Butterscotch one weekend at a Rocky Horror Picture Show performance when he and Analog started dating. Though their relationship only lasted two weeks, but the group formed a band and stayed close even after the romance between Ana and Brian was gone.
Brian was the first to be embraced by a Brujah looking to spite a Toreador that had fallen in love with his dancing. He embraced Ana by accident one night after having fed from a mortal on an acid trip. Later that week, before learning the rules of the Camarilla she embraced both RX and her step-brother Jacob so they could have the “cool super powers” she obtained the night Butterscotch made her heart stop beating.
In fear of final death the four of them fled from San Francisco back to their home-city of Los Angeles, seeking refuge within the anarch society.
The four of them would occasionally brush shoulders with Prince Kiril or Akumu and Jacob’s philosophies and ideas about kindred society. After a few trips to San Diego to play shows or attend social events, they decided they’d ask The Prince if they could move to San Diego to work closely under his tutelage.
As their mentor advised, they are all blood-bound to the highest degree to each other in order to stay a strong unit. As a show of faith in their leader’s ideas they volunteered accepting The Prince’s blood to form a blood-bond with him as well.
