Cadenza of the Bloody Moon

The good folk of Wygol village live unaware of the dangers which lie outside the guttering glow of the town’s streetlamps and gaslit taverns. To them, monsters are the stuff of stories; legends to scare the young and the infirm. But you know all too well; the legends are true. You’ve seen the things that stalk the dark forests and ancient ruins. The things that predate men and the Concords. The things that snatch unaware visitors out of the roiling mists.

And you know that things are getting worse: people are going missing and the town apothecary has her hands full treating unnatural wounds. As far as you can determine, the attacks coincide with the lunar eclipse – when the ancient keep on the mountain above town began to stir. Rumor has it, Wyrmbone Keep was home to a mighty necromancer; a man who sold his soul to Death long ago to rule a mighty empire of the undead. After years of war, lead by the armies of man, dwarves, and elves, the entire nations were razed to the ground. In a desperate final assault on Wyrmbone, the necromancer was slain by the legendary hero Belmont – but prophecies speak of his return, under a “dissonant moon.”

You know what must be done. Tonight is a night for heroes – lest more innocents perish under the vampire’s curse.
