Personal Background
The woman he loved only had eyes for another. Caleb challenged this rival suitor, and lost. The very next day army recruiters caught up with the clan and in a fit of jilted rebellion Caleb signed up. Anything that would take him away from his shame. Caleb served as a sapper and commando for the mandatory 5 years before he was honorably discharged. Military life was too strict, too many rules for a Speed Freaks liking. He took to the open road for a spell. Fell in with Marshal O’brien and his posse for awhile, made a bit of a name for himself as one of his deputies. When the O’brien retired his band split and each went their separate ways but not before Caleb was elevated to Marshal. Caleb eventually found himself here, now, with these people.
