Children of Glassdown

Think of Your Favorite Fairy-Tale

Nursery rhymes are fine too. How many people burned to death in an oven? Was your hero stuck in abject poverty, stealing from things he couldn’t understand? Did anyone end up breaking their crown? Perhaps the entire bit is really about the black plague. Were young girls stalked by terrible creatures intent on devouring them (or worse)?

Being a fairy-tale prince or princess isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Curses, comas, creatures and worse hound you, strange magic from unknown places intent on ruining your life. And if you’re lucky enough to escape those, you’ll find wicked stepmothers, jealous siblings, ailing parents.

Whether you have everything or nothing, young or old, wise or foolish, no one really understands where the magic that children see comes from. Or at exactly what age it will be snuffed out of them.

Well, perhaps a few things do. But I promise. You don’t want to meet them. Not until you’re ready.

A game of Innocence, Magic, and Mystery, the Children of Glassdown are not prepared in the least for the things they will see. But that’s fine. Because after all, childhood is about growing up.
