Cityscape

Cityscape

“When a man is tired of New Belpharon, he is tired of life, for there is in my city all that life can afford.” -Emperor Marchosias I, Ruler of New Belpharon

Welcome to New Belpharon, the city that is the world to many of its people. In a world that has been all but destroyed by a deadly curse, the people gathered close together for support and safety. The result was one burgeoning metropolis the likes of which the world had never seen before. It is here that one brave band of adventurers will rise up to shake the very foundations of the massive city.

Cityscape is a campaign that was originally conceived to be run with the D&D 3.5 mechanics, but has since been updated to 4E, a change that I feel will greatly improve the overall game. Luckily, I had only considered setting and story, so this long-planned setting will still enjoy the depth that I had originaly planned for it. Characters will be challenged on more levels than just monster-slaying and loot gathering; the city of New Belpharon is rife with internal struggle, poverty, and polotics, all of which the heroes may become embroiled in as the story progresses.
