Jin is a pretty girl with reddish auburn hair. She wears a heavy cloth duster, and favors a bandoleer for vials of potions. She wields a weighted steel pipe and always wears goggles on her head like a hat. The goggles have a kind of filtration mask, so she can work around chemicals and toxins. She has a pet cat named Tawnick and has bought a horse that she calls Hozay Kwervo. She is a skilled brewer and potion-maker, and has turned the lackluster Crying Wizard Saloon into a notriously wretched hive of scum and villainy, a place where a reprobate can find insidious smokes and potent potables.
Jin can make mental attacks on her enemies, making them twitch at the wrong time, see enemies in the wrong places. Her attacks can cause mental trauma, pain, even delusion. When pressed, she can even bend space. But that’s not the limit of her usefulness.
Jin can be trusted to talk her way out of a situation, at once glibly persuading while mentally manipulating her victims. She is an expert at history, arcana and religion, knowing the right cultural buttons to push. Her lies are subtle and convincing. She knows the streets, she knows the street-dwellers, and she can talk her way into your heart, or make your heart skip a beat.
She is trained in the creation of potions and the performance of rituals. Aside from the distilling recipes of several alcoholic beverages and the blends of several herbal remedies, she also knows how to create Bloodstinger Poison (level 3), Spotted Toadstool Venom (level 10), Giggle Gas (level 9), Antivenom (level 1), Woundpatch (level 3), and Rust Bomb (level 5).
In addition to this, she knows the rituals for creating Tenser’s Flying Disc, and Holy Water.
Jin comes from the back alleys of Athisaar. Jin’s motheronly spoke in whispers about Jin’s strange, otherworldly father. Jin has a step-sister named Vera Walker-Vorigillana. aJin discovered at a very young age that she had remarkable talents. Through begging and running a variety of grifts, she learned that she had skills at deception, and even more importantly, at manipulation.
She has found her way to a kind of success. She is the owner of The Crying Wizard Saloon, a hookah-alcohol bar in the Trades, where she plies her trade usually. But she got involved with the Torchwood Gang when she saw the group dismantle the Beggar King and his cruel henchmen. Now that the Burn is safer the adjacent Trades area is also safer.
She took the steward’s role aboard the Torchwood’s flying ship where she became crucial to the ship’s functioning because of her special brews of rum and broy, but when it was attacked, and she saw Ka’Rak and Kaladry abandon ship, she also beat a hasty retreat. Racing across the wilderness on her horse, Hozay Kwervo, with Tawnick her ginger cat in a saddle bag, Jin has finally caught up with the Torchwood gang, only to discover that her news of the Torchwood Ship’s capture is old news.
Her goals now are to earn the gang’s trust and win her way into the inner circle, earn enough money to be able to expand her business and keep her secrets.
