What drove Vilustuminen south to the Sorrowfell Plains — in the summertime, no less — is unknown. It is most likely that Vilustuminen came from the Hoarfrost Ridge, looking for territory.

It is known that after a few isolated attacks, the Shields of the Sorrowfell encountered the white dragon on their first day together, before they even met Bezaldooz or started calling themselves the Shields. After being severely burned by Emma’s holy fire, the dragon fled.

The Shields next encountered the beast weeks later after it laired in the Ebon Maw with a horde of kobold cultists.

This time, Vilustuminen the White, also known as Vilustuminen the Scarred, did not escape.
