An eccentric Red Hook store owner
Description
Ving is a thin, elderly, Asian man who walks around, day or night, in a long yellow robe that opens to reveal dirty, white long-johns with the handle of .38 revolver sticking out of the waistband.
Bio
Ving is the owner of Ving’s Store, a Red Hook hole-in-the-wall that houses a mish-mash of trinkets, charms, symbols, fetishes, talismans, and potions that Ving claims hold, “mystical powers”.
While in Ving’s shop, Jonas Markham notices a calendar with a five-pointed star drawn over June 14th. When asked about the significance of the date, Ving excitedly says, “That important day. All planets come in line. Good to have one of Ving’s wards against evil that day!”
