All dwarves know the ancient tales of Blain Lastson, the last progeny of Durin the First.
Moradin created the race of dwarves from Durin who was sealed in stone until the primordials had finished forming the world. Durin’s sons were the Fathers of the Dwarves that all dwarves are descended from.
It is said Blain recorded the first language of the world and created the Radiant Halls of Bundushathûr. He fell in the darkness when the first homes were overrun.
Most dwarves are uncomfortable with Blain; his claim to be an ancestor of the first dwarves an obvious sign of mental illness. He does not boast and quietly disregards their doubts. During his long slumber in the stone he has forgotten much, but not who he is.
His armour and hammer is of an ancient make scribed with runes. He is always at the front of a battle protecting allies from harm like a protective father. In battle he shouts ancient words that have not been uttered aloud for thousands of years delivering radiant destruction to his foes.
