A chance earthquake in the Calimshan desert has attracted two adventuring companies to the site of a previously buried temple, littered with traces of shadowed occultists. One group returned to the surface with a mysterious treasure, the other barely at all. The warriors set off to explore the nature of their orb of shadows, but face perils greater than they imagine.
