The Golden Age is long past.
Decimation City abides by the sea on the East Coast of what used to be the United States of America.
50 years ago, before the Decimation (when it went by another name), it was teeming with people, and the heroes rocketed through the streets, soared across the sky, and stalked the night. But then one day, something happened and they all went away, along with roughly 9 in 10 of each man, woman, and child in the world.
Now the ones who are left pick through what they left behind, remembering enough of what they lost to want it again, but not quite enough to ever actually build it again. Lately, it’s been getting harder every year, as the leftovers have pretty much run out, and much of what the heroes left behind is breaking down, running out, or getting free.
