Bio

Ramon sweater Rumor has it that 8 years ago Ramon Gonzales was a Ft. Worth beat cop. Granted, he may have been on the take a little, issuing warnings instead of tickets for pretty girl’s phone numbers or being extra rough on those that probably deserved it, but hey, it’s a hard world out there. It is especially hard after falling asleep in your own home after a rough night on the beat to then wake up completely naked in the Ft. Worth Zoo Wolf Enclosure with a giant wolf tooth necklace clutched in your hand.

Ramon still beats the streets, but now runs with a whole different kind of crowd. And if the “bad guys” he catches never make it home again, or a situation calls for the occasional collateral damage, well hey, its still a hard world out there, especially for any in Fort Wolf Posse Territory.

Ramon strives to be the absolute deadliest combination of Man and Beast: Savage but Smart, willing to fight with his head as well as with his teeth and claws. His mental stats don’t drop (except for Presence) when he shifts, meaning he still retains almost as much of his human mind in wolf form as he had in Human form.

I sort of based him off of Lucien from the first Underworld movie, particularly in the sense that the savagery of the Wolf does not control him, and that the cunning of the Human side can be just as deadly. Notice how Lucien never goes full wolf in the first film but still kicks all kinds of ass? Ramon has that same tendency, but will still Wolf out when the fur hits the fan, cause tha’s fun too.

Also notice that Ramon’s Pack Instincts, Inh. Speed and Inh. Strength are outside the Human Form trait. Also notice that all of the other named FWP members have Pack Instincts outside their Human Form as well. Man + Beast = Deathy Death Death :)

Ramon has no idea where the necklace came from, but it was what “taught” him to Beast Shift in the first place. No actual words, mind you, just sort of “growls” at him in his head. It doesn’t have any IG repercussions neccessarily, which is why I didn’t Aspect it, but ultimately the source of knowledge that made the FWP and Ramon what they are today is this thing, and no one knows where it came from. It also taught him other things thru “example”, like Echoes of the Beast, Pack Instincts, etc. which he then teaches to the rest of the FWP Ramon learned to shift from the necklace and can now do it under his own power, which is why Beast Form, among other powers, isn’t under the Item of Power stats. Were it to be worn by someone else, it would grant different more basic werewolf abilities until that individual learned them himself, then would grant “improved” abilities for the subject to learn.

Regardless of anything else, Ramon is a good leader, if a little standoff-ish sometimes. Luisa was his first student, his first Love, and wolves mate for life. He genuinely cares about his Pack and takes it very personally when they are messed with unnessarily. He treats them with respect and distinction based on their individual merits, even when they challenge his authority. He’ll still take them down like a rabid dog, prefering to stay in Human form for the fight, but he’ll still respect them enough to not kill them outright if they have valuable skills or if they have no prior history of insubordination.
