Three Things

• While the Council acted together, it was Hiram who was responsible for masterminding a coup against the Imperial Family. It was his idea to cover their tracks and secure their positions by blaming their own Lieutenants.
• Hiram blames the city’s problems on the Imperial Family, and on the laziness and disorder of the common folk and decided to take charge of the Empire in order to steer it to what he envisioned as Gristol’s grand, shining future.
• Hiram is little loved by his fellow Council members, but maintains his position by keeping a thick file of potential blackmail on all of them. The coup has only strengthened his hold over his fellow Council members.
