More than just a trained animal or pet, Ione is A’Liyah’s spiritual companion. She was bound with A’Liyah as part of a ritual inducting her mistress into the priestess class of Avanii. Ione represents her mistress’s link to the natural world. A’Liyah left the order, but kept her spiritual companion.
