Description

Grace is from the Peregrine family, an old family SW of the city proper of Osmail Mark. They have tilled the land and have about a dozen tenants. Grace’s father – Sira William Peregrine – is no knight, but as a land owner, tax payer and ties to the history and support of the baron has been made an official “lord” of Peregrine estate and is considered a gentleman. Grace has 2 brothers living and a brother and sister dead. She entered the Baron’s service as a lady-in-waiting for the Baron’s daughter Matilda. In reality, she reported to her mother and father. Matilda was married very young and left – Grace did not want to leave and offered her services as a young woman to the Baron’s herald, Claude. Over the years she grew in her beauty, seductive techniques and wisdom – eventually inheriting Claude’s job – bypassing others with seniority (Adard Helpran and Keom Odway) and making a few political enemies in the process. The baron and his family trust Grace implicitly.
