Large, imposing merchant, Ven is married to Solsta and is notorious for his near manic temper, his love for the harshest spirits, particularly the bitter grogs and rotguts produced and imported from places as far as the orc city of Urglin, and his love of his two beautiful and sassy daughters, Katrine (19) and Shayliss(18) whom he dotes on. Recently, Ven has been distracted by what he believes to be a budding romance between Katrine and “that no good, goblin spawn, whore’s son, Banny Harker.” While he fixates on the more responsible Katrine’s nightlife, he’s been blind to the very exuberant nightlife of the younger, Shayliss.
