Hey, if you guys wouldn’t mind, could you post what you’re spending your LPs on? Whether on your character page or otherwise, it would be great for me to see where you’re spending your points – not so that I can audit your sheet, but just so that I can get a feel for what kind of path you’re going on and also so that I can see where your abilities are at.

Hopefully it doesn’t feel too much like book work for you. If it does, let me know.

Just a couple of notes with the increase.

The first few ranks of increasing a low circle talent line up at 1 = 100, 2 = 100 and 3 = 300 Legend Points. But at rank 4 it jumps to 500 Legend Points. At 5 it goes to 800 Legend Points. So you have the following –

2 200

3 300

4 500

5 800

So your Melee Weapons increase from 2 to 4 would cost 800 instead of 700. Also, when meditating on talents for the day you can increase two separate talents up a rank in a 24 hour period, but you cannot do a single talent up two ranks within a 24 hour period. It’s only one talent per day. It’s not a big deal right now because you guys have a few weeks, but since I saw it I figured I’d point it out.

Also, what is the size on your hammer? I couldn’t find it in the book. Remember that you have to roll Forge Weapon against the Damage Step of the weapon + 9 in order to succeed at the end of the forge time. If it’s a pathetic result it ruins the weapon.

There’s another thing mentioned about the talent that I need to check the forums on. I think it’s retarded if it really is meant this way, but it says that you cannot increase the base damage step of a weapon higher than what your rank in Forge Weapons is. That leads me to believe you’re not meant to be able to increase a Broadsword with a damage step of 5 up to step 6 until you have Forge Weapons at rank 6. Seems a little rough if you ask me. I think they could simplify the rules for Forge Weapons a bit but I think they are the way they are because otherwise it could be considered an overpowered ability.

Remember that you can use Karma on Discipline talents. You’re a weaponsmith, you’re meant to use Karma on those talents J. Pathetic on a 13 would be a 1-6. When you role 3 dice you definitely increase your chances if it not being pathetic.

Ok, I’ll spread out the Melee weapon meditating. :) And I’ll adjust my legend points down 100 to take the increase from 4 to 5 into account. Thanks. The hammer is a size 3 and yes I read over the whole talent several times before attempting it. That pathetic result is scary. But I needed a 13 (9+4) just to do it. With a D8+D6, I have to explode at least one die just to do it. I exploded my D6 and rolled a 7 on the D8. My total came out at 16 which is an average result so while it should take only 3 days, I added one day for the only average result.

I have learned that I need to dump some LP’s into Forge Weapon if I want to use it on anything worthwhile. I wanted to use it on my sword but the risk of a Pathetic result on a difficulty of 17 was too much. So I went with my rank 4 hammer.
