Klemit Do Hanan was the only child born into a middle-class family on Kuat. During her childhood, her father patented an engine which he subsequently sold to Kuat Drive Yards, bringing the family a decent fortune. As a young adult she began a small mercantile business; after a decade of moderate success, she closed the doors, using her profits and inheritance to purchase her own ship, the Vestal Virgin. Along with her partner Talin D’orn (a Twi’lek mechanic who worked at Kuat Drive yards), Klemit began visiting systems for unique items which she could make a profit on selling to aristocrats in the core worlds. Covertly, she sought exotic drugs and intoxicants as well. Klemit studied diplomacy, etiquette, negotiation, and conversation. Along with a luxurious wardrobe, she impressed both her suppliers and patrons with a reputation of elegance, giving off the impression of an a high-born lady while never admitting otherwise. Talin prefers to stay onboard and out of the business, but she often joins Klemit if a bodyguard is necessary.
