Bio

Arannis’ family was killed in a Drow attack. While not exactly from a royal family the Cerestone house had produced the leaders of the Eladrin army for the past dozen generations, and Arannis was meant to be the next in the proud line. Arannis’ training began at a young age, but it would fail him one fateful night. Having lead many successful campaigns against the bitter enemy of the Eladrin, the Drow, Darannis Cerestone was a celebrated general of the Eladrin forces. In vengeance the Drow sent a death squad to the house of Cerestone and killed all within. Arannis’ mother and siblings were all killed in the attack, burned to death as the house of Cerestone was consumed in magic fire. Arannis was spared only because he was away at academy with his father. Arannis’ father never truly recovered from the loss, and he became distant and demanding or Arannis. This made Arannis a very driven individual, which can be both positive and negative, to try to make his father happy. He expects perfection of himself as a warrior and commander. Arannis can be amazingly hard on himself, taking even the smallest imperfection in battle as initiative to question his ability. But he is also kind and encouraging to his team, having known what it is like to live with someone who is never pleased with your performance. Arannis also believes that by encouraging his companions he is able to get there best out of them. Arannis is very trusting and close to his teammates, believing that the soldiers bond is a sacred trust, and will be very frank and open to them with his thoughts and feelings. But because of his past sorrows Arannis can be prone to bouts of brooding introspection. Arannis is now traveling the world looking for clues that will help him find who was the Drow lord that commissioned his families death, so that he may have his vengance , and finally prove his worth to his father. While he is looking, he is willing to destroy any Drow he finds.

Arannis is called “Silvermane” because of his long full silver hair that reaches down to his waist. He prefers simple well made clothing of darker colors such as charcoal gray and navy blue. Because of his military heritage Arannis is used to more Spartan and utilitarian living. Most of his possessions are purposefull having very few that have nostalgic value. He keeps these possessions in proper order at all times, this especially refers to his weapons and armor. To outsiders Arannis may appear cool and austere. This is only the face of Arannis trying to measure up the person, he believes his father would want him to be. To his brothers in arms Arannis is loyal and encouraging and he cares more for the people on either side of him, than himself.
