Ghost Song

From an Unknown Archive…

“The best way to judge a man is by his deeds; so it is with that which men would call gods. The Keth liberated humanity and we revere them for those actions, but do not forget that they are no longer here to protect us from the darkness of our future.

I have known kings and great ladies, arch mages, lords, and poseurs, but it is the paupers that have always kept my attention the longest. Whilst it could be said that they have the least to lose, I would say they have the most to gain, and the enviable clarity of understanding what is truly important. Only with the Keth gone do we see that even among such beings, there are individuals of superior virtue and compassion.

So I say not that we should cease to rejoice in the freedom they gave us, but that we ought to revere those who still choose to walk among us. Judge them for their actions, for they stand with us in our darkest hours.”

—Magus Sevin Ghannay, White Tower of Greenhaven.
