Branley Harvish (Bran to most) is a charming halfling from New Lyre, though he has traveled nearly everywhere in Aerne. His local knowledge has served him well in his adventures.
Bran’s parents, Holman and Lidda Harvish, were the gypsy type and took their only son Bran along on all of their travels. They were singers and story-tellers and passed along their love of lore and Aerne history to Bran. Though his family was loving and his childhood exciting, Bran senses the loss of a permanent home. He is drawn to treasures and keepsakes, although he never had any to call his own. His fascination with the precious and valuable led to his studies in archaeology. He has scoured many a dungeon, crypt, and abandoned monastery in search of the secrets within.
Bran is charismatic and friendly to all he meets. While traveling the world he found that openness and kindness provided him many rewards. He can talk freely and happily with most people and often leaves them bewildered when he coaxes them to divulge any and all secrets he wishes to discover. (A strong drink has always proved a reliable tactic and Bran never says no to a pint of local ale.) Though known to deceive and trick his way to the truth, Bran only uses his knowledge for good.
