Ricardo’s father was killed fighting Goblins in defense of Arabel. His grandparents, mother and six siblings all share the same home above their woodworking shop in Arabel. His father’s sword “Grimslade the Goblin Cleaver” was passed on to Ricardo for being the eldest son. When he was old enough, Ricky went off into the King’s Forest to train to be one of Maestoon Huntsilver’s Rangers. When he had completed years of apprenticeship, he was allowed to make his bow “Maglubiyet’s Bane” with the help and guidance of a master bowyer and recieved his knighthood as a warden of the King’s Forest.
He has been sent out into the world to make his own name and gain some experience in the ways of the world before returning to the wood and joining the ranks of his fellow wardens. He headed out with his loyal dog “Lucy”, his horse “Clyde” and his pack mule “Bonnie”.
His first expedition took him to the Sunless Citadel near Dremer’s Rock, where his group managed to rescue two of Lady Hucrele’s sons. She told him of Battlegate Keep and the possibility of a land grant from Lord Sarp Redbeard of Wheloon. As the group rode on to the village of Battlerise, Ricardo rode to Wheloon and had a contract drawn up. Should they clear the keep and its surrounding area, Sir Branton Spursbrite would confirm the task and sign the papers to be returned to Lord Redbeard.

The group decided to winter in Daerlun after losing several members. While there, they crafted magical items and made a fortune. Ricardo remained behind in Battlerise and noted that the undead attacks ceased when the adventurers weren’t poking around the village. When the group returned, they marched on the keep to find its walls manned by lizard men.
They managed to drive the lizard men from the keep, but upon entering the inner fortress encountered a bearded devil who nearly killed Ricardo. Retreating from the keep, they traveled to Daerlun and spent a year there before returning better armed and prepared.

Upon returning to Battlerise, the party entered the underground tunnels via the Southside Tavern. After battling several undead and devils, they failed to stop an evil priest from summoning Tiamat in a lake of blood below Battlegate Keep. The party and the townsfolk fled.

After warning King Azoun, they were tasked with returning to Battlerise to scout the area. They discovered a hobgoblin presence, possibly staging grounds for an invasion force of goblins. After dispatching the hobgoblins occupying the Sembian waypoint fort, the group decided to take their loot and be gone before tiamat became aware.
Ricardo scouted the goblin forces for two weeks, tracking them over around the Vast Swamp, through the Infested hills and over the Thunder peaks to just outside Archenbridge. Picking up Tansef and Brom in Archenbridge, he made haste to Daerlun. The group prepared and traveled to Archenbridge to counter the goblin and dragon attack. Overwhelming odds sent them into retreat.

After nine days of preparations in Daerlun, the troupe set off to attack the Red Dragon by surprise. Unfortunately, the dragon and Hobgoblin commander were both gone and thousands of hobgoblins and goblins were encamped at Archenbridge. The group slayed the six hill giants who were building a bridge and escaped downstream. Interrogating a goblin ninja revealed the Hobgoblin Chieftain had gone north to bring back an army of devils and undead. The group headed north, hoping to find and kill the Chieftain. After fightinh a hydra at a marshy crossing, they encountered a green dragon and had to teleport back to Battlerise after being blasted by its breath.
