Backstory

This ancient ring was found in the Von Slythe’s old manor house near the barracks. It seemed to be a normal Ring of Protection, but further study revealed it held some secrets. The spirit of Claire Von Slythe sealed herself inside and became dormant. She will awaken when the time is right or when a ritual is performed on the next holy day of Pelor – Coldeven 11, 636 CY.
Recently, the ring has come to also house the Hallowed spirit of Marcus Cannerly who was Claire’s tutor in life and devoted to cleansing the Von Slythe family.
The ring was given to Jaquard Von Slythe in the hopes that Claire could help suppress the worst effects of the Von Slythe blood.
