Sitting alone listening to forest sounds had such a calming effect on her it was something she and her father shared. It was days like today that she missed him the most. It had already been a year since his life was taken away so abruptly along with all the others that was poisoned that day. She knew that so much would be expected of her now but she had needed some time away. That’s how she ended up here, in the Borderlands. The boat ride was so long she didn’t think she would ever see land again but they eventually landed. She just knew the change of scenery would be what she needed to get over her loss. At this moment she is taking a rest from her explorations to reminisce about the times her and Goldoak had shared…….Nature, elves and archery. He got her, her first bow at age 6. They would go out every day to practice and he showed her the healing plant that keeps her fingers from being ravaged by the bows strings. At 9 she began competing in small local events and won many awards. Just this past year she had participated in the Tournament of Champions losing only to a local legend! It seems like such a long time ago. Its not that things are bad with her here, she has learned her way through many of the forest of this land, she feels appreciated and cared for by the people she has met these past months its just sometimes she misses home. Enough of this, Wren thought to herself, lets go see if anyone needs a good ranger to teach them the ways of the forest. This will give her something to do and take her mind off of the sadder things. She rises and heads to town……
