Frontier signal

Description

Frontier signal

A small pewter signal whistle attached to chain necklace.
Unique note and distinctive markings denote citizenship or resident of Frontier.

Value = 1 SP.
Higher value chains and signals denote community standing. (gold, plat, gem encrusted)

“If you ever find yourself in danger or come upon a situation where you need assistance, fire the signal and call for help. Same goes for if you ever hear it, fire the signal. Fire the signal, fire the signal. Don’t ever forget about that helpline around your neck. A frontier citizen does what he can to assist and aid his frontier family. Life is hard enough as it is out here, the last thing you need is to think you’re alone.”
- Arthur, Half Orc Paladin, 1 of the 4 sheriffs of Ripple hill.

A signal can be ‘blood marked’ as well. A drop of blood is taken from the recipient and coated onto a matching duplicate. This duplicate is stored with the ’Signaltarian’s’ archives and can be used later for scrying and location purposes if necessary.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Designated ‘Guardians of the Frontier’ each wear a individualized frontier signal that allows telepathic communication with any other Guardians wearing their signal, within a 4 mile radius.
