Bio

Story (Under Construction):

  • (2103: Dalis) Born, on Trill
  • 2167: (First “official” Federation contact with Trill. (For unknown reasons, the Trill gov’t decided it would be best to keep their symbiotic nature a secret.
  • 2183: (Darzen) Born, on Trill, to a middle-class family of no distinction
  • 2187: (Darzen) Showed signs of advanced mathematics and science ability, and was placed in advanced education program; parents saw his ability as an opportunity to advance themselves in society
  • (2197: Ferier Dalis (Dalis #3) selected by Trill gov’t to participate in a new undercover operation within Starfleet, due to his espionage background and experience dealing with the Terrans.
  • 2198: (Darzen) Entered into testing for host-compatibility at an unusually young age (15), for reasons the Trill gov’t would not explain, and declared suitable. Soon afterward, officially chosen to host Dalis. After joining, awoke to the news that there had been “complications”; it would be some years before the two truly “settled” together, and in the meantime, experienced occasional episodes of apparent “absent-mindedness.” (Actually, an early entrant for their secret espionage program, which in this case, required a younger-than-usual host to fit in more naturally at Starfleet Academy. Chosen as new host based not only on his talents, but as an adolescent, a weak consciousness that should more-easily be dominated by the Dalis symbiote. Darzen would essentially be a “reverse sleeper agent” for the program; Dalis would relax control of his host when a “naïve kid” cover was needed—Darzen would, however, turn out to be a bit more mentally resilient than expected, and tended to fight for control, causing some difficulties. Also, in order to take the new host, Dalis would have to kill off his current host, Ferier; made to look like an accident.
  • 2199: (Darzen) The new Darzen Dalis, at 16, fast-tracked into Starfleet Academy—the Trill gov’t pulled diplomatic strings with Starfleet, while insisting he be exempted from certain medical examinations, citing medical “difficulties.” (The “medical exemptions” were insisted upon to protect the knowledge of the symbiotic nature of the Trill.
  • 2203: (Darzen) Graduated Starfleet Academy. Assigned to USS Telemachus
