Bio:

Early Life-

Intelligence suggests Ensign LaFluere, a man known to most as Gambit, spent the first years of his life as an orphan in a Radical Sect of Gaeas Children (RAGC) terrorist cult. Like other orphans and recruits used by RAGC cults, a martial arts master probably trained him. Doubtless this is where his skills in hand to hand combat were obtained, along with rumored ability to use the “Invisibility Art”. (It is probably is an exaggerated story in this author’s opinion, our scientists cannot confirm the rumored hypnotism abilities of these cultists). First hand witness accounts from allies claim his ability to leap and strike enemies is superhuman. (Another rumor I believe fictitious). However it must be admitted that stories containing incredible feats of stealth and acrobatics tend to surround these martial artist cultists. Indeed LaFluere’s stealth and fighting skills are incredibly valuable for the BODD’s interests.

Interviews from squad-mates indicate the New Order Earth clan (NOE) terrorists destroyed his entire order of martial artists, enslaving and enlisting many of the survivors. This is probably how Ensign LaFluere started his military career as a terrorist for the RAGC.

Military Service for the RAGC-

At the time he was subverted into OPS control by my sub-officer Captain Regrom Cellavoid, LaFluere was serving the NOE as a scout, assassin, far spotter, and all around black ops specialist. It is estimated he has served the NOE in this role for 12-15 years.

During the latter part of the RAGC-OPS war, prior to the last stand and elimination of the NOE, LaFluere and fellow officer (explosives expert) Crater overheard their captain and first officer discussing a treacherous arrangement. They planned to hire mercenaries to overcome their crew, and sell their subordinates to slavers on an isolated planet. They would then wholesale the vessel, and enter into hiding in a cowardly attempt to save their own lives. LaFluere claims (the truthfulness of this claim is debatable, and this author reserves serious doubts) overhearing this conversation, which has led Crater and himself to contact and surrender to my sub-officer Lieutenant Cellavoid. Whatever his and Crater’s motivations, Captain Cellavoid brilliantly utilized the opportunity to capture and dismantle leadership of the vessel without casualty to OPS or BODD forces. The surviving NOE crew was offered a chance at redemption by joining the OPS. Some, such as LaFluere and Crater, have been offered positions as mercenary contractors for the BODD. They are currently serving in this role at the time of this memo.
