Bio

Talia Romanov is descended from the great royal house of Romanov, back in the civilized world. Her mother was a Romanov and her father an elf, whose influence on young Talia’s life was short and uninspiring. She grew up with a lack of respect for elves and royalty in general. She had few friends (despite her exalted position) and grew up surrounded by her books. Her younger half-sister, Amelia, used to tease her and say that she would never find a royal husband if she didn’t put her books down and start taking care of her appearance. It was all in good fun, as Amelia knew that Talia did not feel at ease in her all human family and felt sorry for her. Amelia always had a special place in Talia’s heart, as she felt her sister was the only one in her family who cared about her feelings.
One day a marauding group of humans, incredibly strong in numbers and ability, attacked and killed everyone in Talia’s family with the exception of Talia and Amelia, who managed to escape. On their quest for a safe haven, Amelia was captured by goblins and the last thing that Talia remembered (before passing out) was one of them saying “and on to the Blackmire Marshes.” From that day forward, Talia decided to cast aside her previous life and start learning the ways of wizards, with the intent of saving her sister some day.
