Born the only son of a Arcane Hierophant father and Bladesinger mother, Eltharian could grew up calling the wilds of Celene his home. He does not know much about his his parents, though. Through no fault of their own, they were rarely home after the first few decades of his life. He bears them no ill will, however, for they were Guardians of the Realm and always being called upon to defeat the enemies of the Elven kingdom. They would be gone for years at a time but would always return to their son to regale him with the stories of their adventures.
Though he was the child of, not one, but two adventuring parents, Eltharian’s childhood was not a lonely one. This is because he grew up among the dryads, centaurs, and other fey creatures of the forest realm. They became a sort of surrogate family for him while his parents were away and he counted many of them as aunts, uncles, or cousins. From the centaurs, he learned archery and the basics of combat. From the dryads, he learned stealth. From the satyrs, he learned art. From the pixies, he learned how to cause mischief wherever he went. From the nymphs, he learned the art of rhetoric. The most important pieces of knowledge he gained, however, came from his parents. It was his father who taught Eltharian how to cook and started a fascination with food that would come to play a huge role in his life. It was his mother who cultivated in him an appreciation of music that he still has today.
When he was of age, Eltharian decided that it was time to set out and make adventure stories of his own. And so, after hearing about a group of slavers that had been preying on the villages of the Wild Coast, he felt it was his chance to make his own memories. What better to start with than pirates? Joining up with a group of other elvish “pirate hunters”, he started off on a journey that took him south into the newly rebuilt city of Highport and then across the Woolly Bay. With his bow in hand and a quiver of fresh arrows, Eltharian could not wait to finally be the one with the stories to tell.
