Estrid is pretty level headed for a gnome. She loves to travel and quickly gets attached to new friends. She tends to go along with the flow but takes being good very seriously. She isn’t afraid to do difficult things in her quest for adventures – gold and treasure mean very little to her. As a druid she loves nature and plants and will do most anything to explore more plants. She loves casting her spells and will willingly use her skills to help her traveling companions. She is devoted to Freyur and Thorr. In addition, she feels a special kinship to vines and clinging bushes. She has pursued knowledge of plants and her profession as an herbalist with single minded devotion. She enjoys jokes and being funny. In fact, she has occasionally performed for her friends especially comedies during the long winter nights.
Estrid hates thursirs and other large creatures with an intense passion. Being a small gnome she also has an especial hatred of reptilian, goblin type creatures. Estrid has a secret relating to another type of creature she hates due to a very personal history. But she keeps this close to her heart and has not shared it with any living creature. She has made it her personal mission to learn the languages of the creatures she hates. Estrid has recently discovered an affinity for stealthy spy work and has devised a plan to extend these abilities. She also intends to develop her knowledge as an herbalist to extend her ability to detect and make poisons, medicines and antidotes.
Estrid longs for the opportunity to grow a leshy. She has never had the opportunity and she wants that more than she wants gold. Sadly, opportunities for a leshy have not yet come her way. Estrid also loves her pony, Vaengr. She has trained him to be a combat pony but she knows in her heart that it would be very difficult to use him in battle. In addition, she wants to have two or three wild animals as pets that she could handle and train. Estrid now has a leshy called Vik the Orange.
