Eduardo “Eddie” Nelson is a praying man who has been doing more than his fair share of praying these days. A worker at the Comadrejas Saltworks, he has been out of a job since the mine closed due to the SNS outbreak. He has watched the already marginal society around him crumble as the sickness spread, with a merciless shotgun quarantine keeping people trapped amongst their dying neighbours.

Nelson could have handled this, even the death of his wife, who was an early victim of the disease.
Martinez came down with SNS as well, but has responded well to the treatment shipped in by Khonsu Medical Ventures. His faith got him through that hardship as well, though he is now weakened.

But when the Martinez gun thugs picked up his healthy daughter, claiming she was infected, and squirrelled her away to an iso-obso unit near Lockport Bridge, that was the last straw.

Barely able to walk, he lit out into the swamp after the security goons, but quickly fell victim to Blackwood’s unforgiving environment. Nearly dead from exposure, he was saved by a Good Samaritan in the hamlet of Mission Hill, where he now lies, bedridden, moaning about his daughter.

He still has his faith. But he’s no longer sure it’s enough to get him through this latest trial.
