Once a very prosperous merchant for House Carabas, Malc life turned to tragedy since his last return to Chandegar. It was in the streets of Chandegar that he and his family were caught in the middle of a melee between The Culling and their intended prey. Malc barely survived the encounter, but the rest of his family was not as fortunate. The Get of Syn among the Culling hunting party slew his wife and children right in front of him as they made their way to the dwarf and elf they had come for. After witnessing the killing of his family Malc was struck dumb with remorse and was left in the care of the Temple of the Mother in Chandegar.

After recovering his wits, Malc has severed his dealings with House Carabas and has used his skill as a merchant to enter into business for himself. He now trades mostly in implements of war such as armor and weapons. As war and conflict seems to be spreading throughout the empire, Malc has become fairly wealthy.
