Of the world and firearms
The previous DM stated that he did not want Firearms in the campaign.
Personally, I am fine either way.
It’d like to move this to more of a Renaissance era campaign, and I can do that with attitudes and architecture alone. However, it is up to all of you whether or not we add firearms. So, what do all of you think. Give me some of your thoughts about firearms in our settings. Positive and negative opinions welcome.
Big Daddy do not like Thunder Flasks!
Victor says he also likes the attitudes and architecture of the Renaissance era, while his character will fit in even less, that is fine. However, I have never done firearms in a fantasy campaign- could be interesting. Could also suck. In other words, not really sure about it.
Flintlock only?
I might go with matchlock instead of flintlock. Possibly wheel-lock
Nox
generally not a fan of firearms in fantasy, but it honestly matters not one whit to Nox. He wouldn’t consider using one unless it was clearly demonstrated to be vastly superior to other, more readily available options. He certainly won’t spend precious things like feats on them unless conscripted into a (military) order and rigorously trained in them.
For my part, I prefer NOT to deal with firearms, but I will run with the punches. I look forward to meeting up with you all and beginning play next weekend.
I’d prefer not to either.
