Session 1, part 2 (and 3) (not yet distributed)

  • Arrows (75 looted -6 used by players +78 looted -2 used by players) – Kyr (current total 244)

  • studded leather – 25 /2 gold
  • masterwork handaxe x2 620 /2 gold
  • Total gained: 1,413 value, sells for 706.5 gold credit from Oleg

Current Standings: PCs have gained a total of 194.3 gold since the start of the most recent session (some of which was passed out during game play). The party as a group also has a 747.5 gold credit owed to them by Oleg. I intend to spend a good portion of this on “requisitions” (see thread so titled). Other players are encouraged to do the same, if there is anything you need or could use to help the group out.

Please note such requisitions in the appropriate thread, and note if it’s personal or group use.

If you want to make a list, put a * in front of it.

e.g.,

  • This is a list item.
  • This is another one.

The textile formatting link above the post box is also pretty handy (and so are the formatting buttons). For new posts, there should also be a preview button.

Looks good. If people want to write about what happened, I strongly recommend posting to the adventure log.

Journal = fun to write. Journal also = time and effort.

Does Journal = bonus XP?

...for that matter, does Itemized List of Acquired Gear = bonus XP? (or extra spells, which is also good). I did it because it’s helpful for everyone to have the information, and because I like doing that sort of thing. But still, I have to ask.

Posting to the adventure log will result in an individual XP award. Maintaining the list of loot and gear will result in a party XP award.

Just wanted to confirm total player gp from first session = 194.3

I’ll post a request post and character update later today.

EDIT: since the characters are listed, I can use names! session 2:
  • to PCs:
  • Arrows (60 looted -14 used by players) – brings the total to 270 party arrows, +20 personal each for Kyr and Leb
  • MW Dagger – to Wilbur
  • polished wooden crate containing green alcohol (from session 1) – to Wilbur
  • Stag Amulet (estimated price 20 gold) – currently with Kyr, not claimed (we have two now)
  • Wand of Burning Hands (CL 2, <s>4</s> 0 charges) – given to Kyr (and used up)
  • Wand of Magic Missile (CL 3, 28 charges) – given to Kyr
  • Bracers of Armor +1 – given to Doal
  • Rations x6 – in party pile, accounted for
  • Whetstone – unclaimed
  • Scroll of Fly – Kyr
  • Boots of Elvenkind (+5 Acrobatics, apparently; currently unclaimed, probably to Doal I guess?)
  • Dust of Illusion (1 dose, casts “disguise self” on target, 2 hour duration) – unclaimed
  • Dirty, Ratty Leather Cloak; filthy sack – no significant value even after cleaned and mended, anyone want these, or toss them?
  • 70 gold + 7420 copper (74.2 gold) + 2132 silver (213.2 gold) + 302 gold + 329 silver (32.9 gold) + 249 gold + 13 platinum (130 gold) = 1071.3 gold
EDIT: I forgot about
  • arrows +1 animal bane x6 – Kyr
  • Masterwork Longbow – Kyr
  • bolts +1 flaming x7 – Wilbur
  • Sold: (half price)
  • Leather Armor x4 – 40 gold
  • Longbow x3 – 225 gold
  • Short Sword x4 – 40 gold
  • Silver Earrings (from session 1) – 150 gold
  • Wooden Music Box (from session 1) – 90 gold
  • 3 Crates Fur Hides (50 each, trade good so full price, doing x2 to simplify math) – 300 gold
  • Topaz (500 gold, trade good so x2 to simplify math) – 1000 g
  • Silver Ring – 75 gold
  • Masterwork Cold Iron Sickle (size small, cold iron means double cost, so I think its) – 612 gold
  • Masterwork Light Metal Shield – 159 gold
  • total = 2691 value, sells for 1345.5 gold, Oleg has 700 right now, so 700 gold and 645.5 gold credit
*Purchased:
  • 24 rations (+6 looted – 20 used = 10 remaining; 24 *0.5 =) – 12 gold
  • 30 bags of feed (30 used, 0 remaining 0.05 * 30) – 1.5 gold
  • 10 torches (4 used, 6 remaining) – 0.1 gold

Total gold gained: 1071.3 gold looted + 700 gold from Oleg = 1771.3; no one took anything from the sesssion 1 part 2 post, so that’s another 286.2 gold, so 2057.2 gold, divided 5 ways (I don’t see the point in cutting Thomas out just because he wasn’t there) is 411.5 gold per person. I’m writing the number down and will repeat it at the stat of the next session, just in case.

We also have an additional 645.5 gold in credit from Oleg; I’m going to add that to the previous value and spend some in the requisition thread; I suggest others do so as well.

EDIT: Bishop, take the 53 gold I gave out during session one and add 411.5 to that; don’t forget about requisitions for the gold credit we have, as well.

Session 3:

1,200 gold. Not given out at end of play; kept for next session, as this was all the loot. Given out during Next Session (see following post)

EDIT: I have no idea why the text is randomly bold. I’ve mentioned that I don’t like the coding on this website before haven’t I? Actually, I’m fairly certain that I’ve said I didn’t like the website at all, for a variety of reasons. I do understand how it can be useful, but I don’t care much for the implementation. Anyway.

Session 4:

*given out during play:
*spindel gem (90)
*naughty elf statue (85)
*Gold: 1200 (session 3) + 38 gold + 51.2 gold (512 silver) +35 gold +85 gold + 200 gold +0.8 gold (from wizard pocket) = 2300, or 460 gold each.

Again, above given out during play.

Sold:
*Leather Armor x14 (10
14 = 140)
longbow x12 (7512 = 900)
short sword x12 (1012 = 120)
Scale Mail +1 (1050)
*Masterwork Handaxe (306)
*Longsword (15)
*light crossbow (35)
*masterwork banded mail (400)
*club (with nails!) (0)
*Silver Stag Amulet x4 (20 * 4 = 80)
*masterwork studded leather armor (175)
*daggers x3 (2
3 = 6)
*+1 Rapier (2320)
*Masterwork Longsword (315)
*masterwork composite longbow (mighty +2) (600)
*TOTAL = (6462 / 2) = 3231

trade goods:
*600 gold (tazlwyrm head reward)
*Turquoise Earrings x2 (130
2 = 260)
*48 gold
*141 gold
*bunch of gems and jewelry worth (9+80+13+14+100+30+60 = 306 gold)
*5000 gold (reward for killing stag lord)
*TOTAL = 6,335 gold.

*to PCs:
*potion cure moderate wounds X4
*potion lesser restoration
*dragon and knight figures (45 gold)
*120 arrows
*amulet of natural armor +1

There’s 6,335 gold to split 4 ways, plus an additional 3231 gold in credit. Technically enough to resurrect the wizard, provided one can find someone to sell all the junk to, transport the body without it rotting, and locate a cleric of succinctly high level; doable, but a great deal of hassle, and costs the party their entire reward and then some.

Of course, it also requires that the player still be welcome in the game, and be willing to play under a death rule that was randomly added only a few days ago, long after the game had started, and the he was on record as hating THREE YEARS AGO, but that’s not really relevant.

Anyway, there’s also at least a dozen horses, though mine won’t do you any good (it only understands elven). Plus the Campfire Bead, a Wand of Magic Missiles (CL3, 28 charges), and lots of little junk. The resources for the Bag of Holding are NOT present – they are a part of the 3,231 credit, and it no longer makes sense to spend those resources on the Creation Supplies, given that there’s no one left to create it.

good luck.

Rob, thank you for posting the loot.

I have no idea why the text is randomly bold

Text between two asterisks is rendered in bold. Use a ‘×’ to represent multiplication. If you put an ‘x’ between two numbers, Textile will render it as an ‘x’ automatically. The textile help page lists all of the tags and other formatting commands.

That’s up to the players, but they seemed to be in favor of bring your wizard back.

Of course, it also requires that the player still be welcome in the game

I’m tired of the complaining. You don’t like this site. You don’t like my rules. You don’t like the exploration. This is how I run the game. You are the only person to ever have a problem with it. And quite frankly, I didn’t like how you blamed Thomas for missing a session.

and be willing to play under a death rule that was randomly added only a few days ago, long after the game had started, and the he was on record as hating THREE YEARS AGO, but that’s not really relevant.

I posted it before the session because it was something I believe I had mentioned to one or two people a few weeks ago. Until I posted, it was essentially an open question how new characters came into the game. I wanted it written down because I knew the Stag Lord encounter was extremely dangerous, and I didn’t want people to complain that they only found out about it after they died.

Why did I do it this way? I don’t want players trying to cheese their way out of the costs of bringing characters back from the dead by rolling up a new one with the exact same amount of XP and a set of hand picked gear.
