As a very young child, Nylrah was left in the care of the Orlovski family, and was never retrieved. So, the family adopted her as one of her own. Since she is an elf, she aged much more slowly and seeing the death around her made her jaded to life. She never believed in any deity because of this, and was in effect seen as cold-hearted. She spent most of her time in the library as a young woman, and it was there that she found her interests. She became the family librarian and scribe, teaching herself about everything she could. One of her more occult interests is witchcraft. Loving witchcraft and the many ponds on her family’s land, she made a deal with the powers that be to give her the ability to use witch’s abilities through her familiar, Oglaf. Oglaf is seen as her pet turtle, a simple pet for a librarian, when in reality, he is her conduit of her powers. Now, growing tired of being int he library all of her time, has volunteered for an expedition on behalf of her family.
